	<description><![CDATA[Electronegativity, as well as ionisation energy both, usually decrease on moving downward a group with an increase in atomic number. The hydroxides and sulphates of alkaline earth metals are ionic solids and the solubility of ionic solids is governed by two factors viz, lattice energy and hydration energy. For solubility hydration, energy > lattice energy.Hydration energy varies inversely with size, ie, decreases with increase in size. However, lattice energy in case of sulphates, remains almost same with an increase in the atomic number of alkaline earth metals, due to the large size of sulphates ion. Hence, hydration energy only governs the solubility of alkaline earth metal sulphates decrease as the hydration energy decreases on moving downward the II A group.<br />On the other hand, in the case of hydroxides, the lattice energies are different because of medium size of hydroxide ions and decreases on moving from Be to Ba. This tends to increase the solubility and to overcome the counter-effect produced by the decrease in hydration energy. Hence, the solubility of alkaline earth metal hydroxides increases with increase in the atomic number of alkaline earth metals.<br /> ]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[पुरातत्त्वविद निम्नलिखित विधियों और तकनीकों को अपनाकर हड़प्पा समाज में सामाजिक-आर्थिक मतभेदों का पता लगाते हैं:1. शवाधान:         a. शवाधान गत में अंतर।         b  शवाधान में पूरावस्तुओं की उपस्थिति।पुरातत्वविदों ने पाया है कि शवाधान में अंतर होता है:a. कुछ कब्रें सामान्य बनी होती हैं तो कुछ कब्रों में ईंटों की चिनाई की गई होती है।b. यद्यपि हड़प्पा निवासियों ने शायद ही कभी अपने किसी की मृत्युं के साथ कीमती सामग्री को दफनाया था, हालांकि कुछ कब्रों में मिट्टी के बर्तन, गहने,आभूषण शामिल थे जो अर्द्ध कीमती पत्थरों से बने थे।2.  विलासिता  की वस्तुओं की खोज:<br />पुरातत्त्वविद उन वस्तुओं को कीमती मानते थे जो दुर्लभ हों अथवा महँगी, स्थानीय स्तर पर अनुपलब्ध पदार्थों से अथवा जटिल तकनीकों से बनी हों।<br />महँगे पदार्थो से बनी दुर्लभ वस्तुएँ सामान्यतः मोहनजोदड़ो और हड़प्पा जैसी बड़ी बस्तियों में केंद्रित हैं और छोटी बस्तियों में ये विरले ही मिलती हैं।<br /><br /> ]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[Besides the powers in normal times, the President of India has some special emergency powers.<br />The President can use the emergency powers even when there is the likelihood of an Emergency. The Constitution refers to the three kinds of emergency given below:<br />I. Emergency arising out of external aggression or internal disturbance or armed rebellion or its possibility. (Article 352): According to Article 352 if the President is satisfied that a grave emergency exists whereby the security of India or any part of India is threatened by war, external aggression or internal disturbance, he may proclaim a state of Emergency. If the proclamation has not been approved within two months by both the Houses of Parliament, it will become ineffective. But by the 44th Amendment this period of two months has been reduced to one month and that such resolution should be by a majority of the total membership of each House and not less than two-third of the majority of the members present and voting.<br />After the approval of the Parliament emergency continues till the President revokes it by a subsequent proclamation. But it is provided in the 44th Amendment that for the continuance of the emergency the approval by resolution of both the Houses would be rquired every six months.<br />Effects of this Proclamation: ]]></description>
